All Sri Lankan citizens in the Western region of Saudi Arabia (covering the regions of Tabuk, Madinah, Makkah, Baha, Asir, Jazan, Najaran) are hereby advised the following;
- Stay alert of the emerging situation in the region
- If you receive an emergency warning on your mobile phone (National Warning Alerts):
- Stay inside, seek a safe area away from windows.
- Stay away from open areas, windows, glass, balconies and rooftops.
- If you are outside, enter the nearest safe building or take cover behind a solid wall.
- Avoid crowds, or going to dangerous areas. Do not take pictures.
- If driving, pull over to the side of the road and stay away from bridges and high buildings.
- Follow the above instructions until you receive official notification that the danger has passed.
- We urge you not to panic, avoid spreading unconfirmed information, and rely only on official announcements from the authorities.
- Do not photograph, film, or record incidents. Do not share, or comment on any such posts. All Sri Lankan citizens are urged to strictly comply with applicable Saudi laws and regulations in this regard.
