Required Documents to get Sri Lankan Birth Certificate from the Consulate

  1. Original Sri Lankan Birth Certificates of the parents 
  2. Original Sri Lankan Marriage certificate of the parents
  3. Saudi Birth Certificate of the baby with the English translation
  4. Parents Original travel documents (passports)
  5. Parents original Saudi resident cards (Iqama) / Valid Visa pages
  6. Declaration of Birth under Section 16 (Application can be downloaded here)
  7. If the birth occurred before three months this Declaration form should be filled. (Application can be downloaded here)
  8. Particulars for registration of a birth (Application can be downloaded here)

Birth Registration Fee: SAR 140.00

To get Sri Lankan Citizenship from the Consulate, the applicant should submit dully filled citizenship application (which can be downloaded here) with above mentioned documents (Under the Ceylon Citizenship Act No. 18 of 1948)

Citizenship Registration Fee: SAR 170.00
