Hon. Minister Hiniduma Sunil Senevi, Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs, recently held discussions with Hajj Service Providers during his visit to Jeddah.
The Minister, along with his delegation, emphasized the new government’s strong commitment to ensuring a fulfilling and smooth Hajj experience for all 3,500 pilgrims from Sri Lanka in Hajj 2025. The delegation was also briefed by the service providers on their capacity and readiness to meet this demand.
The Sri Lankan delegation to the meetings included Deputy Minister of National Integration Muneer Mulaffar, Sri Lankan Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ameer Ajwad, Chairman of the Sri Lanka Hajj Mission Riyas Mihlar, Director of the Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs M.R.M. Nawas, Acting Consul General in Jeddah Mafusa Lafir, Third Secretary A.H.M. Shibly and Hajj Coordinator Dr. M.N.M. Ahsraff.
